Urban Walls (1985) utilizes wood as collage, a building material quick to show the ravages of time. The paint is applied in thin washes or glazes over the wood and then occasional areas of trompe-l'oeil are created. These spacial illusions combined with the 3-dimentionality of collage, create simultaneous frontal and aerial perspectives, suggesting the duality of space and time.
